From Sketch to Stained Glass: Flying Spaghetti Monster a Custom Pastafarian Commission

Welcome to another installment of The Scrolls of Geek Orthodox, where we reveal the artistic journey behind our unique stained glass creations! Today, we're diving into the creative process for a special Pastafarian-themed piece being crafted for a client in Kentucky.

The Creative Beginning: Sketching the Vision

These first images showcase the initial sketches that form the foundation of any custom stained glass project. For this Pastafarian-inspired piece, I start with freehand drawings to capture the essential elements and spirit of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and the supplicant - paying special attention to the colander hearwear and the uplifted hands.

Once satisfied with the hand-drawn concepts, I bring these sketches into Adobe Illustrator. There, they serve as crucial reference points while I compose the digital design and map out the precise pattern for how the actual glass will be cut and assembled. This digital blueprint helps me visualize the flow of colors, textures, and how light will interact with each piece of glass.
