Our Story

Ian Leino: Chief Geek

Brought to life in 2015 by renowned artist Ian Leino, Geek Orthodox celebrates fandom in all its forms. We live for the revered storylines, tropes, and constructs within the worlds of fantasy, sci-fi, and gaming - and we adhere to them. And, like you, this adherence informs our tastes, our actions, and our identity.

We share more than common interests, and we feel something beyond superficial appreciation.

Lord Of The Rings

Since my parents first read Tolkien’s books to me as a child, I've dreamed of going on an adventure with Frodo or Bilbo. Decades later, as a professional artist, I was finally granted that opportunity. In early 2024, I was entrusted to create stained glass artwork that explores the lands and lore of Middle-earth, the first-ever collection of its kind to earn official approval and licensing.

After working with the teams at Middle-earth Enterprises for the better part of a year, we launched the first collection on Kickstarter. I was humbled and excited to see the project fully funded in under 90 minutes and close out at over 1000% of our goal.

Stained Glass Meets Middle-earth

Created with proprietary techniques and production methods, these all-original designs bring to life the fantastic scenes and stories as only stained glass can. Our initial collection includes designs that depict The Shire™, signage for the Green Dragon™, Sting™ the sword of Bilbo Baggins™, and much more.

We’re more than fans, we’re Geek Orthodox. Are you?
