Can I get this design in another size/style/product?
At this time, all of our available styles, sizes and options products are listed online. We do occasionally create special offerings which are only available at conventions.
Are you available for a project?
Between convention appearances and creating designs for this shop we do take on design work for corporate clients, as well as custom commissioned stained glass projects for clients across the country. If you would like to work with us, please use form below to begin the process of discussing your project.
Can you create [an image] in stained glass?
Most likely. We work with a wide variety of tools and techniques, ranging from traditional hand-painting that has remained unchanged for centuries to newer processed like silkscreening and sandblasting.
This range of options allows us to create a huge variety of images and styles in glass. However, while stained glass is a beautiful and enduring art media, it does have its limitations, and not every image is suited to being interpreted in glass.
We would love to hear about your vision for an original commission, so please contact us through the form to the right to start the collaborative process
How are your original pieces made?
Working from our original paper and pencil sketches, we create the design for each panel in Adobe Illustrator to give us both fidelity and flexibility in adapting or replicating designs exactly.
Each individual piece of every design is then handcut from an array of glass sheets and precision ground for exact fit. After any embellishments such as handpainting, the panel is then assembled using lead came or copper foil then soldered, patinated, sealed and polished.
Have I seen your work before?
Most likely! We have been exhibiting our clings at conventions such as DragonCon, Gen Con and NYCC for years. You may have seen us there, or in media articles and lists that cover conventions, since our unique work often is often featured.
What is a stained glass static cling?
We wanted to offer a way to enjoy the look of our original stained glass pieces without the cost or fragility, and w with a commercial printshop, we created a method of creating our art prints on vinyl static cling material.
This proprietary process creates a look as close as possible to the original stained glass, and their industrial grade materials and inks mean that they will stay vibrant for years to come.
Can I get these designs in other sizes?
At the moment, we're unable to make custom sizes for our clings, as we have to do larger runs with our print shop to keep the pricing down. But to make one or more of our existing clings fit a larger window, several of our customers have had great success using either frosted or patterned cling material that you can get at Lowes, Amazon, etc, to fill in around our clings.
Here's an image showing an example:
There are a variety of textures and patterns, and you should be able to find one that works with your decor.
Can I move/remove the clings?
Absolutely! With no adhesive, our clings can easily be adjusted, moved, re-positioned, or removed with no residue. If at any point the cling is not adhering, merely clean the cling and the glass where it will be placed with soapy water or window cleaner to allow the surfaces to bond once more.
Can you create custom clings?
Unfortunately, however, we have found that it is not financially viable to create custom clings for individual use.
